Cybertruck is the Only Pickup With Supervised Self-Driving “That Works Anywhere,” Tesla Says as FSD v14.3 Rolls Out

Tesla Inc’s official Cybertruck account on X declared on Thursday that the electric pickup is “the only pickup with supervised self-driving that works anywhere,” highlighting a video demonstration of its Full Self-Driving (Supervised) software version 14.3 autonomously navigating out of a multi-level parking garage and onto city streets.

The roughly 61-second video, originally posted by Tesla Owners Silicon Valley and quoted by the @cybertruck account, shows the Cybertruck using FSD v14.3 to drive itself down ramps, execute turns, exit the garage and proceed into daylight without driver input on the steering wheel. The original post by Tesla Owners Silicon Valley described the demonstration as “Cybertruck FSD 14.3 can drive itself outside of a parking garage.”

The demonstration comes as Tesla began rolling out software update 2026.2.9.6, which includes FSD (Supervised) v14.3, to vehicle owners earlier this week. According to Tesla’s release notes, the update includes an upgraded reinforcement learning stage of the FSD neural network for better performance across driving scenarios, an improved vision encoder for low-visibility conditions and 3D geometry, and a complete rewrite of the AI compiler using MLIR that delivers 20% faster reaction times.

Tesla markets its FSD (Supervised) system as capable of operating on city streets, highways and parking facilities without geofencing. The company’s official product page states the software is designed to drive the vehicle “almost anywhere” under active driver supervision. Like all current FSD versions, it remains a Level 2 advanced driver-assistance system, requiring the driver to remain attentive and ready to intervene at all times.

Competitors’ advanced driver-assistance offerings on pickup trucks, such as Ford’s BlueCruise and General Motors’ Super Cruise, are primarily limited to highway driving and do not offer comparable end-to-end autonomy in urban environments or parking structures. Tesla has positioned the Cybertruck as the first production pickup to receive the full suite of supervised self-driving features.

FSD rollout and Cybertruck context

The FSD v14.3 update is available on Cybertrucks equipped with the latest Hardware 4 (HW4) autonomy computer. Owners who purchased the Full Self-Driving capability have been awaiting broader rollout of the latest version to the Cybertruck platform.

The announcement was made exclusively through Tesla’s official social-media channels rather than a formal press release. Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Details of the software update are documented in independent Tesla tracking sites that publish Tesla’s official release notes. Not a Tesla App published the full release notes, while Tesla Oracle reported on the rollout.

Further information on FSD capabilities for the Cybertruck is available in the vehicle’s owner’s manual and on Tesla’s Full Self-Driving product page.
